Marti and the Mango

Marti the mouse is asked to a party and, please, to bring a mango. But, Marti doesn’t know what a mango is! In his search, Marti meets many friends: a gorilla gathering guavas, a cockroach creeping across a coconut, and beavers bearing bananas, to name a few. Each teaches Marti something new-a mango is bigger than a guava, softer than a coconut, rounder than a banana-and so helps him find a mango to take to the party.
Along with the endearing, inquisitive mouse, Marti, we learn about tropical fruits and how to deduce the unknown from the known. A glossary of fruits provides parents and teachers with a ready reference. At once an educational tool and a charming mystery, Marti and the Mango is a bright and colourful treasure.
