The Mellops Go Spelunking

When Mr. Mellop’s golf ball rolls into a crevice, the Mellop family decides to go on an expedition to explore the cave. The courageous pigs gather equipment and provisions, and head down. In the cave they are dazzled by the rock formations, learning that stalagmites go up and stalactites come down. The junior archaeologists proceed to dig out tools and utensils from earlier civilizations when a flash flood threatens to drown them. Just as they escape their watery fate they stumble upon a smuggling ring! Charmingly illustrated in Ungerer’s distinctive style.
