A Chick Called Charm

Jasmine’s dad is a farmer, and her mum is a large-animal vet, so Jasmine spends a lot of time caring for animals and keeping them out of trouble. Unfortunately, this often means she gets into hot water herself… A little chick is abandoned by her mother and left for dead after a terrible accident. Jasmine rescues the tiny bird and nurses her back to health but she is again rejected by her family. An old cockerel takes the little chick under his wing, saving her from a buzzard attack and showing that friendship can be found in the most unlikely of places.
