Indie Kidd Are We Having Fun yet? (HMMM?)

Karen McCombie is the author of the hugely popular Ally’s World and Stella Etc. series. Born in Aberdeen, she now lives in London. Lydia Monks is an acclaimed illustrator and won the Smarties Book Prize for her picture book I Wish I Were a Dog. She lives in Sheffield.

Lydia Monks, the widely celebrated English author and illustrator of children’s books, finds that her main sources of inspiration come from everyday life. And from everyday life comes three kooky and original picture story books about animals that are delightfully dysfunctional. There is a cat that wishes she was a dog, a spider that wants to become part of a family and a donkey who thinks he is an alarm clock. This September, her latest release More Eee-Orrh! will join Aaaarrgghh Spider! and I Wish I Were a Dog (new in board book in September) as Lydia Monks titles that are destined to become best-loved children’s books.
