Jenna or ‘Juice” has begun athletics training with a new coach, her aim being to improve her 100 metres time to ensure her a place in the national team. The new training regime seems to be working against her body and her aspirations, while her close friend Sam who has always finished well behind Juice now threatens to outrace her. Juice has to readjust her priorities as her friendship group changes and she falls in love with her training partner Von who has his own battle with diabetes to cope with.
