With the author being married to a Tongan and having two ‘Tong-Aussie’ children this book is a realistic account of a young teenager’s experiences of life in his mother’s homeland of Tonga. Tev is caught between two cultures and sometimes feels that he does not truly belong in either. An easy to read story which is rich in cultural experiences and the complexities of adolescence. Suited to mature readers aged 12+ with references to sexual experiences.
