The Thousand Nights and One Night

By David Walser · Illustrated by Jan Pienkowski About

Meanwhile, in a far country . . .

Welcome to The Thousand Nights and One Night – an ancient world of enchantment and adventure, where magic is commonplace and animals talk, where genies rub shoulders with men, and wicked sorcerers abound. This collection of tales includes favourites such as Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves and Aladdin’s Lamp, as well as less familiar stories. Jan Pienkowski’s adventurous silhouettes and the elegant retellings by David Walser capture the excitement of these exotic fables, giving them a new dimension.
