How the Finnegans Saved the Ship

This new title from Jackie French once again shows her remarkable versatility. The story tells of the adventures of the Finnegan family on their journey from Ireland to Australia to meet their father in the new land and of the amusing happenings along the way. The detailed notes on Irish immigration and history as well as habits, school and recipes are fascinating and the pencil sketches of Margaret Power add to the pleasure of the book.
