Wish
A story of courage and hope, country isolation and a Downs Syndrome boy’s dream.
Sebastian is a Downs Syndrome child living with his sick mother and brother in rural Australia. Seb’s worried because he can’t do anything to help his sick mother, so when his brother tells him about a special way of wishing every time you see an aeroplane, Seb believes he can make his wish come true. According to Seb’s brother you have to see one hundred planes before your wish comes true.
Seb starts wishing, but planes very rarely fly over his house and he knows he’ll have to go to the city if he is to make his wish come true. And so begins an adventure that sees Seb on a motorbike ride, a runaway skateboard and in a dress! Seb finds some help from a city boy, Jack, and together they show that wishes can come true as long as you believe in them yourself.
