Frances Bloom

When Frances Bloom posts her bossy parents in a large box to the South Sandwich Islands, her schoolteacher, Ms Thistle, declares that she cannot live alone. To avoid being sent away to Bleak Island Home for Unwanted Children and Dogs, Frances must choose a new family quick smart. But as hard as Frances looks, she can find no-one who meets her high standards… until she stumbles across a bear eating from the bins… and spots a garden gnome fishing in the flowerbed. Newly named Grandma Maude and Grandpa Harold will make the perfect family… right?
