Lucky Baby Yak

An ancient Tibetan nomadic culture,
steeped in peaceful Buddhist life,
comes to an end when the soldiers
from the East take over the land at the
top of the world.
On a windy plateau on the top
of the world, Baby Yak was
born, silky black as night.
This summer will never be the same
for the children and their yak. For this
is the year the soldiers come.
Their old nomadic culture, immersed
in the peaceful Buddist way of life is
changed forever.
Pronounced pastel colours and
carefully constructed images bring the
emotion of this story to life.
