Gold Fever

Other kids were looking forward to the excursion to Sovereign Hill, the gold mining town in Ballarat, but not Bert. In fact ever since his father died, Bert didn’t look forward to anything much.

But when he gets there, Bert changes his mind. Sovereign Hill seems fun. It really is a step back in time, right down to the costumes and dusty streets. What Bert doesn’t realise is that for him is will be a time warp experience like no other.

There are clues that strange forces have been at work. Weird things happen. Wax figures come to life, Bert falls down a huge hold dug by a small dog and then he meets the elusive Charlotte…

Time travel? Could that be possible? Will Bert be trapped in the Gold Rush town forever?
