Ben and the Buccaneers

How Ben longs to join the Buccaneers, a band of swashbuckling sparrows! The Buccaneer captain laughs at the idea. “Only the strongest, bravest, and cleverest sparrow can be Buccaneers,” he says. But little Ben keeps trying. He follows the Buccaneers wherever they go, marvelling at their skill and daring. What can he do to gain their respect? Help comes from a most unlikely source: the sparrows’ dreaded enemy, the cat. Will her plan win Ben a place among the Buccaneers, or is it just a dastardly plot?
Children will be rooting for brave little Ben whose rousing adventure, filled with danger and derring-do, proves that perseverance pays off.
