Pablo the Pig

Pablo, the fat boar, lives in his overgrown meadow on the edge of town. He wallows with pleasure in the mud and digs in the ground for roots. He also has a friend who visits him every day – the little girl, Vera. But Pablo’s dream life is about to end. His meadow is to be built over, his home destroyed. His life is in danger. As the butcher’s van drives in, Pablo escapes with panic-stricken fear. But with Vera’s help he finds a new home where he can continue to be what he is – a pig. Pablo is real – Bruno Hachler discovered him whilst walking one day, and developed this story from that first meeting.
