Love That Dog

Verse Novel. A one-sided dialogue in verse between a boy and his teacher Miss Stretchberry. Jack writes one poem, then another and before long his poetry has a cathartic effect allowing him to work through still-raw grief over the loss of his dog. At the same time it awakens an interest in the structure and reasons for writing poetry. Simple, easy-to-follow language is realistic and mature readers will find this a challenging and interesting book. Not to be missed. Highly recommended.
