The Kingfisher Book of Planet Earth

Imagine a fiery world, its hot, molten surface bombarded by asteroids and comets from space. This is the early Earth.
Imagine a world where eighty-tonne reptiles graze in the swamps and armour-plated monsters rampage across the plains. This is the prehistoric Earth.
Imagine a world still blasted by wind, shaken by earthquakes and transformed by a single species. This is the Earth today, our home planet.
