The Looking Glass Wars

Truth is stranger than fiction… The world has widely accepted that Lewis Carroll was inspired to write his classic children’s books to entertain his charming young friend, 7-year-old Alice Liddell. But, Alice Liddell was not who she appeared to be…Frank Beddor has at last unmasked the ultimate literary lie, a twisted fabrication that has existed for nearly 150 years. Lewis Carroll did not entertain Alice Liddell with his story of Wonderland. She told her story to him. And now Beddor unveils the real events in his sensational trilogy, starting at the very beginning with The Looking Glass Wars.

Alyss, born in Wonderland, is destined to be a warrior queen. After a bloody coup topples the Heart regime, Alyss is exiled to another world entirely, where she is adopted into the Liddell family, renamed Alice and befriended by Lewis Carroll. At age 20 she returns to Wonderland to regain her sceptre, battle Redd and lead Wonderland into its next golden age of imagination.
