Antarctic Dad

Antarctic Dad is an exciting and informative picture book for younger readers which tells the story of a boy whose father is working in Antarctica.

The story focuses on how a family copes in the father’s absence. The boy is very proud of his dad and takes every opportunity to tell his classmates and friends about where his dad is and what he is doing.

Dad keeps in touch with emails, photos and maps and he has even taken his son’s favourite toy, Roo, along for the ride.

This is a great way to introduce children to the real life stories of the ordinary people involved in the dangers and adventures of the frozen continent.
