Australian Bushrangers

The story of Australia¿s bushranging past traces the terror and cruelty of the period when our early settlers and former convicts, who, while struggling against the natural challenges of this land, often had to defend themselves against the attack of armed bushrangers. Banks and gold transports were the most favoured targets of these desperate men who continually flouted the law. Police and blacktrackers were kept busy in their attempts to bring them to justice and some were even shot and killed in the pursuit of their duties.
