Beyond Duck River

The inspiring saga of a great city and, at the heart of that city, a woman and a river that will simply never die. As a child, Hazel sees her father come home from the first world war almost completely broken, and watches her mother somehow find the strength to keep the family going. As a woman and mother herself, she draws on that same source of power to survive subsequent wars, depression and loss, and to pursue her dreams. Hazel is a woman of Duck River, a beautiful place of clear water that all the factories and oil refineries cannot turn into a creek for long, and this is her story. Funny, ironic, sometimes tragic. And unforgettable.
