Black Jack Anderson

Black Jack Anderson was a fascinating and complex man in his own right, but this is also the story of the diverse and desperate personalities who surrounded Anderson, including: the two Aboriginal women he kidnapped; the young Irish woman who became his lover for a short time; the deranged and malnourished young man he saved from a rocky outcrop in the middle of the sea; the careful scholar who recorded the account on which much of this book is based, using the juice from berries strained through cloth as his ink . . . and the man who eventually murdered Anderson.
