Busy Boats

Following a fishing boat that leaves port in the morning and returns in the afternoon, this visual feast of a book illustrates many of the vessels to be seen in a typical harbour. From freighters being loaded with cargo, lifeboats, a ferry, speed boats, rowing boats and yachts, to an ocean liner, this is a book that celebrates the variety and beauty of boats and ships of every kind. Accompanied by a rhyming and rhythmic text that will delight the youngest readers, this is a perfect book for adults and young children to share. It is one that is sure to inspire a fascination with the sea and ships of all sizes. Following the author/illustrator’s Rattle and Rap about a train journey, and On the Road and Life of a Car, this further establishes Susan Steggall as a striking picture book talent.
