Dinosaurs

Hundreds of millions of years before humans had evolved, our planet was already teeming with life. In prehistoric oceans, stony deserts, warm swamps and vast grasslands, there lived an incredible variety of plants and animals. The variety of dinosaur life on our prehistoric planet was staggering. Ever-evolving , dinosaurs ranged from chicken sized carnivorous raptors to ginormous vegetarian sauropods. Body adaptations, such as claws, teeth, horns and club-like tails helped these creatures survive as predators or prey. Readers will find out what we do know about dinosaur evolution from fossils and other evidence. They will discover how dinosaurs defended themselves from even bigger dinosaurs (such as the terrifying Tyrannosaurs) and the other body adaptations that they used for eating, hunting and attracting a mate.
