Dulcie and Dud and the Really Dumb Play
Mrs Besome has written a children’s play for the Waddygong Summer Festival. It has Flower Spirits and hairy Grublins, a Dark Cave, and watery music that sounds like a loo flushing. Stuck-up Portia Pratt (who is Mrs Besome’s granddaughter) has the biggest and best role as the Spirit of the Waterfall. It’s a really, really dumb play – and Dulcie and Dud are in it.
