Fireheart

Gina’s on the case again and this time finds herself facing a centuries-old curse.
The new boy who’s moved in next door is troubling Gina in more ways than one: not only is he desperately cute, but it also appears he’s crazy. He rambles on about ‘Them’ — strange beings who come in the night to punish him for reasons he doesn’t understand. And while Gina’s parents warn her off him, Gina can’t dismiss his claims that easily. Meanwhile, her new job at the visiting Egyptian exhibition isn’t working out exactly as she’d hoped.
With Amy and Nick fighting, Vanessa nursing a broken heart, and her parents convinced she’s sneaking around with a new boyfriend, it’s a wonder Gina can concentrate on anything. But slowly she begins to put the pieces together.
Kim Wilkins is one of Australia’s hottest young writers. Her adult titles, The Resurrectionists and Angel of Ruin, won the Aurealis Award in 2000 and 2001 respectively for Best Horror Novel.
