Fresh Start Handbook

Read Write Inc. Fresh Start gives older pupils who have not yet cracked the ‘code of reading’ the chance to catch up and become confident, fluent readers and writers – enabling them to access the secondary curriculum. The Fresh Start Handbook introduces teachers to all the resources and contains detailed instructions on how to implement Read Write Inc. Fresh Start as your literacy programme. It incorporates all teaching notes and guidance in one place, including the Speed Sound lesson plans and lesson plans for teaching every Module. It is an essential tool and supports teachers with effective assessment, lesson planning, and organisation to ensure their struggling students learn to read and write confidently.
