Gator

A lonely merry-go-round alligator sets off on a courageous journey, and becomes a hero along the way.

When the crowds stop coming to the fairground, Gator decides to leave his home on the merry-go-round and sets off on an exciting journey.

Simultaneous publication with Duck, Randy Cecil’s paperback about Gator’s friend and fellow merry-go-round animal.
Children will identify with this odd little hero as he sets off to make things right and, despite moments of fear and sadness, succeeds in the end. Cecil creates a fine sense of place in a series of well-composed oil paintings… Quiet, old-fashioned, and endearing. – Booklist
