Hans Christian Andersen

As a poor boy growing up in Denmark, Hans does not have an easy life. His one escape is into the land of fairy tales. When he grows up Hans tries to become a writer, but he meets with many disappointments until he finally writes some children’s stories. These, to his surprise, are a huge success and are now read by children all over the world.
