I Saw Nothing the Extinction of the Thylacine
Rosie tells this story of the capture and death of the last “tiger-wolf.” Elias Churchill captured it in the bush and sold it to the Hobart Zoo. Rosie went off to the station to see the tiger in its cage. It paced and moaned and she wished she’d never seen it. Ironically the species was declared protected after the last of its’ kind had died. Could Rosie have done anything? Beautifully illustrated by Mark Wilson.
