Just Custard

All Duncan will eat is custard – cold custard from a tin, slurped up through a stripy straw. Dad gets cross and tells him not to be a baby. Mum is too busy fussing over Duncan’s new baby sister, Angela, to even notice. That is, until Duncan packs his bag ad runs away…Spirals is the next step up from ZigZag and introduces children to longer stories. Each illustrated title tells an exciting tale which is divided into short chapters. Very new readers might tackle a chapter at a time, while more independent readers would be happy to read a complete story in one sitting.
