King Who Tried to Fry an Egg O

A very poor and not very clever King lives with his Queen and three beautiful daughters in a tumbledown palace. To keep his family fed he promises his daughters to the Sun, the Moon, and the Raven if they help him. The Sun gives him warmth, the Moon gives him light, and the Raven gathers grain for him. And all come in turn to claim their lovely brides.
After a while, the King visits his daughters, one by one, to see if they are happy. From his sons-in-law he learns marvellous tricks: the Sun fries and egg on his head for the King’s breakfast, the Moon lights the bathhouse for him at night, and the Raven shows him how to get a good night’s sleep on the branch of a tree. When he comes home, he practices the tricks for his wife, with hilarious results.
