Lily Quench and the Dragon of Ashby

Lily Quench is the only Quench left in Ashby Water. As a family of dragon slayers, the Quenches have always lived with the kings and queens and acted as their advisers. But ever since the invasion and overthrow of Ashby, things have never been the same. Now ruled by the Black Count, Ashby has become a dark and grim place to live. Then the dragon lands on the grommet factory and Lily is expected to save her small country. Her grandmother Ursula has just died, and Lily feels alone and confused. Can she slay the dragon in time? Will she save Ashby and all its inhabitants? With delightful black and white illustrations, this is a charming, humorous novel about courage, friendship and strength from an award-winning author.
