Little Ogre's Surprise Supper

The complete story and original illustrations of Timothy Knapman and Ben Cort’s picture book, LITTLE OGRE’S SURPRISE SUPPER, have been specially re-designed into a smaller early reader format. Created with expert advice from a literacy consultant, this new version offers children a natural next step on from picture books to support them as they grow in reading confidence. Everyone knows that ogres eat children. Except Jack. So when Little Ogre says, “I want you for supper!” Jack is delighted to be invited. Will he realise that he is the supper before it’s too late? ‘This is a great series which, by using well-loved stories, will encourage children to become enthusiastic, independent readers.’ — Dr Fiona Maine, Lecturer in Literacy Education, University of Cambridge
