Mary Had a Little Roo

Set in the Australian Outback in the late 1800s, ‘Mary Had a Little Roo’ is a charming twist on a beloved nursery rhyme. When young Mary finds an orphaned kangaroo joey, she raises him with love and care. But as Lamb the roo grows, it becomes clear he belongs in the wild. With warmth and gentle humour, this beautifully illustrated story explores the balance between love and letting go. A celebration of friendship, nature, and the unique bond we share with animals, this story also offers a window into Australia’s past and the importance of wildlife conservation.
