Milo and the Magical Stones

Milo lives on an island with all the other cliff mice. They love their island and in summer spend nights outside watching the stars. When winter comes, the mice stay in their caves to keep warm from the cold windy storms.

When Milo emerges after a storm he finds a strange glowing stone and takes it back to his cave where he finds that the stone has power to give off warmth and light. Soon all the cliff mice on the island want a stone like Milo’s, but wise Balthazar warns them that if they take something from the island they must give something back in return.

Will the cliff mice follow Milo’s example and heed Balthazar’s warning, or will they become greedy and take all of the island’s precious glowing stone?
