My First Prayers

A fresh collection of prayers for the very young, gathered from different cultures.

Waking up in the morning, playing, eating, going to bed — the text chosen for this special collection introduces very young children to prayers throughout the day. Wherever the prayers come from, and they range from Japan to East Africa, and many parts of Europe, Jeremy Brooks’ sensitive choice reflects a child’s-eye view of innocence and wonder.
