My Hometown

Every town has a story. Experience small-town life and American history with this nearly wordless picture book. A magical newspaper takes a young boy on a journey through the history of a beloved hometown, from the 1860s to present day. While this book is American, it is a great resource for looking at how things may have changed in any community, from clothes and transport to architecture and technology. There is also an ‘imagine and explain’ section at the back of the book to encourage further discussion. Wordless Picture Book.
