Nips X1

Multicultural Week looming, Lan feels he cannot cope with another celebration of how different he and his ethnic classmates are from the ‘real’ Australians – the Skips. Lan searches for an event to show how Australian they are and what could be more Aussie than the game of cricket. A selection of players from traditionally non-cricket playing backgrounds with a past Test player as their coach and true determination to show that all races can play the great game, Lan forms his team – the NIPS. A well evolved plot with a great variety of multicultural characters and interest for young cricket enthusiasts. A good class novel for Years 5-7. Age 10+
