Orchard Book of Greek Myths

This wonderful collection of sixteen favourite Greek myths catches all the magic of the stories for today’s readers with its lively retellings and appealing illustrations. It includes the adventures of Jason, Theseus, and Odysseus, of Icarus who flies too close to the sun, and King Midas whose magic touch turns everything to gold. But you will also find some lesser-known stories such as Atlanta – the ravishing goddess who can run faster than any man – and Arachne the spinner, who boasts too much and is turned into a spider.
