Out of Nowhere
An egg rolls out of nowhere and lies lost in the forest, beneath a curly fern. Where has the egg come from? One night the egg cracks and splits open, and a baby bunyip pops out. But it’s crying because it’s hungry and it wants its mother.
All the forest animals get together to help look after the little creature. They feed it and feed it and it grows and grows, until the animals can no longer keep taking care of it. What will they do?
Little do they know that the baby’s mother has been looking for it, and soon the two are reunited.
With stunning watercolour illustrations, this is a charming story for younger children about family and belonging.
