Red Alert! 15 Endangered Animals Fighting to Survi

This unique book not only makes children aware of the issues of climate change and environmental damage and the effect they have on the wildlife of our planet – but inspires them to rise to the challenge of helping to save our endangered animals. Focusing on 15 endangered species in 6 different habitats, Red Alert! invites children to “Pick a Place” and then “Choose a Creature” – picking out a favourite creature on the page and finding its story. After discovering all sorts of fascinating facts about the life of their chosen creature, the reader can “Meet the Challenge” and find out how to play a part in saving the animal from extinction. This book is inspired and endorsed by the ‘Red List’ database maintained by IUCN (International Union for the Conservation of Nature). Currently it has details of over 70,000 species known to be at risk, but grows larger all the time.
