Snug as a Hug: An Australian Lullaby

Joey is sleeping curled up in Mum’s pouch. Koala is resting on a limb like a couch. Turtle is dreaming far out in the sea. Cockatoo is yawning high up in a tree. I’ll stay close-by all through the night. So sleep well, my small one. I love you … I love you … I love you … Sleep tight. Join all the animals as they settle down to rest. From echidnas to spiders, dolphins and more, this is a book full of quintessentially Australian animals in lots of different Australian environments. The gently rhyming text is enhanced by Pamela Lofts’ beautiful pencil illustrations, which are at times bright and colourful, at other times soothing and sweet, and at all times creating a warm and loving atmosphere.
