Social Justice Activist

“Get Involved!” explores the world of social activism. Each fascinating book will inspire children to learn about the rights all humans have as well as their responsibilities for the world, its people, and animals. ‘Special Field Notes’ sections bring the words of prominent activists to life. ‘Get Active!’ boxes encourage exploration and research, and offer everyday ways to become a positive force for peacefully changing the world. Social Justice goes beyond individual human rights. It means a society where justice is achieved in every aspect of life. This title takes a look at what a just society is by examining such topics as poverty, racism, homelessness, and inequality. Young enthusiasts will learn how the words of activists such as Nelson Mandela and Marian Wright Edelman inspired others to do what was right.
