Spare Body Parts and Other Weird Science

Have you ever stopped to think what our future may look like? That one day people may well be able to live with half a brain, human organs will be grown inside pigs, and blood will be grown in the same way that we grow plants?
Sound like science fiction? Well, if you think that’s strange, think about your fridge. In the future, the common fridge will be able to program your video, get your oven going, and even tell your car to park itself into the garage!

Spare Body Parts and Other Weird Science is unique: an educational but fun look at the outrageous, weird and sometimes wonderful technological developments expected this century. There is no comparable book on the subject. The book includes a glossary and index, as well as questions throughout the text, challenging kids to think about what they’ve read.

With hilarious illustrations by Mitch Vane, this book will help young readers understand, laugh at and look forward to these incredible changes.
