Speedy

Everybody loves a dolphin story and here is one that has it all – suspense, danger and a happy ending.

Speedy is the fastest, cleverest dolphin ever to swim the waters around Kangaroo Island, and to ten-year-old Mike Knott and his fisherman father, Ben, he is also a very special friend. Mike and his family seem to be special to Speedy too, for whenever Ben takes out their fishing cutter, Swordfish, Speedy is always there to meet her and lead her home into the harbour.

Before long Speedy and his cheerful antics have become something of a legend around the small fishing town of Pebble Bay – so much so that tourists arrive in their droves just to see him. But not everybody loves Speedy, and one day Mike and his friend Sally realise that the friendly dolphin is in great danger.
