Teeth Marks

The wind felt perilous. Nick didn’t bother with the brakes. He let the steep incline carry him down. The dogs were free, barking and running after him. They loved him, even if Jude didn’t.When Nick heads west with his best mate Robbie, he expects to make some money and have some fun. He doesn’t expect to fall for Jude or her rockabilly songs; he doesn’t expect her to bite so hard; and he certainly doesn’t expect to have his secret desires exposed by the strange people in the orthopedics ward. It’s not easy being adrift. There are signs that you misread, or don’t even see coming. ‘The road trip and music ring true wonderfully, and the first hurdles of adulthood are finely wrought. Teeth Marks is a great read.’- Tim Freedman, The Whitlams
