Some Australians were born in Thailand and other Australians are the children of people born in Thailand. Thai Australians provides a snapshot of the life of Thai people in Australia. This series looks at the customs and traditions of various groups of people living within Australia. Students can learn about the foods, dress, festivals, religions, celebrations and the daily life of these people. Interviews with real members of each community help to give a clear understanding of what their culture means to them and how they continue to maintain it within a ‘new’ country. Recipes from each country and key words from the language are included.
