The Cassowary's Egg

Calvin the cassowary is left to mind the nest when his partner goes of on
a girls’ trip. All goes well — until Calvin is tricked by a wily goanna intent
on having some eggs for his supper. The tale is told in rollicking verse
and is complemented by the brilliantly drawn, beautifully coloured and
wildly animated illustrations of renowned author, illustrator and wildlife
artist Garry Fleming (author of Bollygum and various other titles). The
Cassowary’s Egg is set to become a modern Australian classic.
