The Cave and the Glory of Galumph
Two short stories in one book.
“The Cave”.
Jenny and Tom would never have found the cave if it hadn’t been for the big storm that damaged the farm where they lived. The storm came shrieking from the Southern Ocean, uprooting trees, flattening buildings and wrecking windmills. Within twenty-four hours they both wished they had never set eyes on it…
“The Glory of Galumph”.
Galumph is more than just a dog – he’s a mobile disaster. Kindly taken in by Barry Blake, a farmer, whilst the Lang family are on holiday, Galumph manages to ruin the sheepdog trials, stampede a herd of cattle into a barbed wire fence and, amidst the chaos, perform a heroic deed!
