These two stories belong to the Kukatja people from the Kimberley region of Western Australia. The first story relates to the area around Yaka Yaka and the second to the harsh and beautiful country area known in English as ‘The Pound’ near Wirrimanu (Balgo Hills). Students of the Luurnpa Catholic School have done the original and adapted illustrations.
